Captain's Log, March 23rd.
It seems like I've been a guest under someone's roof for longer than I've lived on my own. Not at all true, but it's starting to feel like it.
Not that I'm complaining! Through the kindness of friends and family, I've had the unique fortune of traveling cross-country twice in a far-reaching job search / quest. I'm dubbing it the "Iceland Saga of Shawn's Quest for a Job". Look for the novel on bookshelves near you.
So, I've traveled from Flint, MI to Seattle; stayed two weeks in Seattle then moved south to San Francisco; then cut that trip very short to hustle to Washington D.C. for several job interviews. The interviews keep coming, but until an offer comes through nothing is decided.
It's all worth it for my family, though. They're coming to visit me this weekend and I am VERY much look forward to seeing them for the first time in a month.
Enough of that; time to get back to work!
