I've found in the past that "who I am" postings quickly become out of date for me. After all, I'm always changing. My identity isn't constant. January 8th of 2001 I was a Webmaster for Tucows.com. January 9th, I became part of an "industry trend" as our CEO so callously put it.
Certain truths about me are consistent. I'm a writer, a journalist, a musician, a Web designer and a historical enthusiast. I love travel, though I don't do as much as I'd like. I know a fair bit of French, and Sign Language and a little bit of Spanish and German. I also know quite a bit of Middle English. Of course, I don't get to use that very much.
I've been with the same beautiful woman, Heather, for the last eight years. We currently live in Flint, Michigan with two obnoxious though loveable cats and our son Jason Douglas. We also share a very excellent band and plans to move to California.
I've lived in Michigan most of my life, though I've also lived in Ohio and Maryland. I've been to Ireland and a large part of this site is set aside for that trip... but it hasn't been posted yet. We've traveled to Europe and hope to go back some time in the future, but in the meantime we're going to enjoy seeing more of the American West. We hope our families will be adventerous enough to come visit us... and I believe some of them will.
